The Afya na Haki (Ahaki) Institute has announced the opening of admissions for its February 2026 intake, offering life-changing learning opportunities in Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH).
As health systems across Africa continue to evolve, Ahaki is positioning itself at the forefront of change—empowering a new generation of practitioners who can bridge research, policy, and community impact. The Institute’s approach combines academic rigor with Africentric values, ensuring that learners not only gain knowledge but also connect it deeply to the realities of African societies.
Programmes Designed for Purpose
The February 2026 intake offers two flagship programmes:
- Bachelor of Sexual and Reproductive Health (BSH) – A comprehensive three-year degree that builds a strong foundation in reproductive health theory, policy, and practice. It equips students to design and implement locally relevant, evidence-based interventions that advance sexual and reproductive health equity.
- Postgraduate Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health (PDSH) – A one-year course tailored for professionals eager to sharpen their expertise or transition into the SRH field. Learners explore contemporary health challenges, leadership, and advocacy through an Africentric lens.
Learning That Fits Your Life
Ahaki’s blended learning model remains a hallmark of flexibility—allowing students to study while working or engaging in community service. With 70 % of learning online and 30 % in-person sessions, participants benefit from both academic interaction and real-world collaboration.
Why Ahaki?
Ahaki’s philosophy extends beyond the classroom. The Institute nurtures scholars and practitioners who view sexual and reproductive health as a cornerstone of health rights and equity. Through mentorship, research projects, and partnerships across the continent, students become part of a growing network shaping stronger, more inclusive health systems in Africa.
